The Movie starts from the land of Dravidian kings after the end of Mahabharatha war. Dravidians wanted to go for independent state. The aggressive rulers rule the country for many years. The rulers are greedy for more power to rule the people and make them slaves. The movie opens from the birth of a farmer named Laxmana. He is the sole income of his whole family. He looks at his son is fighting time and again with his neighbour Manmohan Varma (Arjun) to take power. It pushes him to fight with Manmohan. But he cannot handle his sons barter for a life and kills him. The story takes a turn when the next son of Laxmana dies and the couple takes him to a nearby temple to pray for the recovery of son. They encounter the god who accepts their wishes. The god tells them the child is found in the nearby river and he will become a powerful man, a king.
